In keeping with its philosophy of offering great value to its customers in the retail environment and to cater to the rapidly growing tourism and leisure industry in the region, the Landmark Group Food Division aims to establish restaurants with a fine and casual dining ambience that serve excellent cuisine in a contemporary design setting.

The first half of 2008 will see the launch of Mango Tree, a Thai semi-fine dining concept at the Old Town Burj Dubai.The group also has within its portfolio La Gaufrette, a chain of first-rate cafes in the UAE and Bazerkan, a Lebanese casual diner. In addition to this, the Landmark Group entered into a joint venture with a popular South African steak house, The Meat Company, which already has its roots in Dubai.All these brands would be launched across GCC in the following months In India, the division began operations in December 2006 through Citymax India and has already made noticeable in-roads with the introduction of its revolutionary ‘Food-Courts’ concept, ‘Polynation’. The Group has franchise rights for ‘The Yellow Chilli’, the fine dine restaurant concept by Indian celebrity chef, Sanjeev Kapoor and has the franchise to Gloria Jean’s Coffees of Australia, to open a chain of outlets across India.
