Keeping in par with the Group’s rapid expansion plans, Babyshop unveiled its first store in the Hongqiao district in Shanghai in September 2007. The foray in China is part of the Group’s massive global expansion strategy. In December 2007, the Group opened its second Babyshop store in Lian Hua Nan Road, Shanghai.

The Group has already dedicated $25 million for new stores across China until April 2008 and plans to open six stores in and around Shanghai covering 285,000 square feet by 2009. These would include two more Babyshop outlets and two Home Centre outlets.
