Knowledge & Skills Base:
- Work requires cognitive, communicative and analytical skills acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in retail and commercial purchasing in specialty food market to acquire extensive knowledge of products, vendors, markets and procurement procedures.
- Excellent specialty food range planning & product development experience gained in volume retail, multi-channel or major supplier business.
- Extensive sourcing of world-wide sourcing and supplier management
- Must have very strong knowledge of GCC food legislation. He must have dealt and previously implemented difficult supply transaction.
- Commercially focused with strategic input & impact.
- Strong negotiation & influencing skills.
- Business planning & forecasting
Job Outline
To plan and organize the selection of various product categories (perishable & non-perishable) for the Food concept; negotiate contractual arrangements between Landmark and suppliers committing to ensure the procurement of high quality merchandise at optimum cost. To set up merchandising location plan and develop suitable visual impact.
