Title Electrical Technician
Description Requirements:

1.    Education and Training:
  • Certificate Holder or Diploma holder of an Industrial Electricity
  • Course from a government trade college or from a technical school recognized by the government
  • Completed a comprehensive Training in Programme power
  • Installation and/or maintenance from hospitality organization or building maintenance company
2.    Experience:
  • Not less than 3 years as Industrial Electrician
3.    Knowledge and Skills:
  • Can maintain, fault find  and repair the following:
     -   Isolators and distribution boards
     -   Control panels
     -   Domestic and industrial power and lighting installations
  • Should be thoroughly familiar with routine testing of electrical systems
  • Knowledge of Safe working practices relating to electrical systems
  • Ability to read and understand instruction manuals in English
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic wiring and control circuit diagrams
4.    Responsibilities:
  • Routine Inspection & repair of switchgear
  • Daily meter reading and logging of incoming lines and out going feeders
  • Regular check up of pilot light on main control panel(MCP)
  • Daily recording of peak loads
  • Daily log reports for the 24 hour operation
  • Preparation of periodical reports
  • Perform periodic preventive maintenance as per schedule
  • Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities are properly recorded & documented
  • Perform regular house keeping of the plant
